Rehabilitation and Conditioning for Animals exists to employ a variety of treatment modalities
indicated for a broad spectrum of animal conditions in order to aide in the improvement of health.
Coursework, study, and application of animal rehabilitation and conditioning encompasses
treatment parameters and rationale that have been proved on humans and perhaps not previously
seriously considered as being beneficial or necessary for animals. It is my hope that in utilizing
many proven therapies and several innovative concepts I may better assist animal patients toward
the goal of improved quality of life and healing.
I endeavor to support and compliment the medical care instituted by the referring veterinarian,
pursuing open communication regarding our mutual intentions throughout treatment.
The first evaluation visit lasts one hour and is $90. A written report is sent to the referring vet.
After that, visits are either $40 for up to 1/2 hr. and $70 for 1/2 hr. to one hour.
All visits are charged $.75 per mile round-trip from 1100 Congress Ave., the address of the state capitol, which seemed a fair starting place to me. I use Google to determine mileage and to acquire the first map I print to arrive at the client's address.
Some few animals require a lot of hands-on intervention from me and those subsequent visits last from 1/2 hr. to 1 hr. Otherwise, most animals receive short therapeutic intervention and updated homework from me, and those visits last up to 1/2 hr. For long-term intervention, I report to the vet once per week unless the animal is referred back in to the vet for a recheck or a problem; then I make a report that day or the next.
A slide show of patients along with their general referral issue and the referring vet's name may be found on my other site at www.myspace.com/austinanimalrehab
